The White Stripes’ new album Icky Thump blew every expectation I had out of the water, and is just getting better and better everytime I listen to it. It’s no De Stijl, but it sure as hell is a close second. If the same-album-title hit single Icky Thump didn’t get your attention the first time (which I’d highly doubt), then wait till you hear soon-to-be-classic, role playing Rag and Bone, raw and gritty guitar wailing in Little Cream Soda, and Gondry-inspired I’m Slowly Turning Into You.
